This weekend one of my best friends and a heck of an artist, Jay Fletcher, is getting married. Needless to say blogging will be a bit sporadic over the next couple of days, but I plan on posting at least 150-200 drunken photos Saturday night to reward those of you loyal enough to check the blog (talking to you, Mom).
A little background on Jay: Back when my wife and I got married three years ago, he was kind enough to design our save-the-dates, invites and programs. As a couple of struggling journalists, my wife and I didn’t exactly have a bunch of money stashed on the side to pay for someone of his caliber to design them. But for reasons I can only chalk up to boredom and pity for the woman who was about to vow to stick with me for the rest of her life, he volunteered his services and delivered a bang up job.
Needless to say I’m very excited to welcome Jay to the hell joy of marriage. And Jay, if you’re reading this, I promise to eventually pay you that $2,000.
